Engineer & Artist — London
I build audio software and make music under the name Little People. Most of my work lives somewhere in the overlap between code and sound — expressive instruments, real-time DSP, machine learning for audio, and the infrastructure that ties it all together.
Selected work
Flagship synthesiser for the ROLI Seaboard. Deep polyphonic expression (MPE) with a multi-timbral architecture, built in C++/JUCE.
roli.com ↗Cross-platform sound player for iOS and desktop. Real-time audio streaming, MDM-managed kiosk deployments, and AUv3 plugin support.
Synplant-style genetic algorithm applied to physical modelling synthesis. Perceptual loss, CMA-ES evolutionary search, differentiable polish.
Debut album as Little People (2006). Re-release and 20th anniversary edition in progress — limited-edition figure, coloured vinyl, fold-out insert.
Spotify ↗A modular benchmark for C++ optimisation — memory layout, SIMD, lock-free concurrency, and latency spike avoidance. An evolving living reference.
GitHub ↗Contrastive audio-text synth preset classification using DawDreamer for headless rendering, trained on a custom tagged dataset.
Music
Electronic and cinematic music made in a shed in London. Twenty years of releases, soundtracks, and sync placements — distributed through Virgin Music.
Contact
Open to senior engineering roles in audio and music tech, sync licensing conversations, and anything in between.
